Week Twelve Injury Report

Quarterbacks:

  • Though Brian St. Pierre wasn't listed on the Panthers' injury report Monday, he said his right throwing shoulder is sore, the Gaston Gazette reports.
  • Coach Eric Mangini said Monday that Jake Delhomme (ankle) is "as close to 100 percent as you're going to be at this point," the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
  • Though Tyler Thigpen worked with the first-team offensive line, Chad Henne, who sported "a huge brace" on his sprained left knee, took his share of reps at Monday's practice, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
  • New Vikings head coach Leslie Frazer, taking over for a fired Brad Childress, says Brett Favre will remain his starting quarterback this week, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
  • Tom Brady (foot/right shoulder) was listed as a limited practice participant Monday, the Boston Globe reports.
  • Vince Young, who will require thumb surgery, will be placed on IR by the Titans, Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports.
Running backs:
  • Coach John Fox is not sure if Johnathan Stewart (concussion) will be back this week, Steve Reed of the Gaston Gazette reports.
  • Felix Jones was getting ice and other forms of treatment on his injured hip on Monday, ESPN Dallas reports.
  • Ladell Betts did not participate in Monday's practice due to a head injury, the Saits' official website reports.
Wide receivers:
  • Mike Sims-Walker said that the right ankle issue that kept him out of Week 11's game is a high ankle sprain, Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union reports.
  • Bernard Berrian tweaked his groin in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the Packers, 1500espn.com reports.
  • The lower leg injury that will force Hakeem Nicks to miss at least the next three weeks is being referred to as "Compartment Syndrome," the Daily News reports.
  • Updating earlier reports, Steve Smith (pectoral) said that it's "far-fetched" to think that he will return for the Giants' Dec. 5 game against the Redskins, the Daily News reports.
  • Jericho Cotchery's (groin) status for Thursday night's game against the Bengals is uncertain, the Daily News reports. "I am progressing a little bit every day," said Cotchery. "I don't know yet, it's too early to say if I can go Thursday, but I am making progress."
  • Patrick Crayton left Monday night's win over the Broncos with a wrist injury and was seen in street clothes with a sling in the second half.
  • Mike Williams is considered day-to-day with an injury to the bottom of his left foot, Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times reports.
Tight Ends:
  • Tony Scheffler injured his ribs in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Cowboys and did not return, the Detroit News reports.
  • Jeremy Shockey (ribs) was a limited participant at Monday's practice, the Saints' official Twitter page reports.
  • Zach Miller's injured foot gave him problems during the second half of Sunday's loss to the Steelers, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
  • Vernon Davis, who left Sunday's game with an ankle injury, said afterward it wasn't a serious issue, csnbayarea.com reports.
