Week Four; Stock Up/Down

Stock down: Jerome Harrison

Towards the end of last season Jerome Harrison ran ape crazy for huge amounts of yards and touchdowns. Coming into the off season Harrison appeared to be an automatic pick in all leagues, however, all signs coming from Browns camp were that Cleveland didn't seem so sure. They drafted Montario Hardesty and picked up Peyton Hillis in a trade with Denver that sent Brady Quinn and some banana bread.

During the pre-season the supposed #1 Hardesty was lost for the season, and Harrison became the savior of the Cleveland running game once again. Yet, the Manginius has proved all forecasters wrong with his heavy use of Peyton Hillis. Harrison has shown the ability to break for a big run, but Mangini consistently insists to use Hillis in red-zone opportunities. After Harrison injured himself last week Hillis showed against a stellar Ravens defense that he can carry the load of being a lead back, and he can be a fantasy stud. Three weeks of double digit points is pretty good for a guy who was owned on 5 % of teams a week before the season began.

Harrison is still recovering from a thigh injury, and is listed as probable for this Sundays game against Cincinnati. Due to Hillis great game last week coaches will be in no hurry to rush Harrison back into action. Thus...

Stock up: Peyton Hillis

Being owned on 76% of teams doesn't make you a waiver wire pick up. It makes you a good rb2/ flex option. Hillis, for the foreseeable future, appears to be the only start-able player on this Browns roster. Current reports are that even though Delhomme appears to have recovered from his ankle injury Mangini wants to stick with current QB Seneca Wallace. Wallace is throwing for so-so yards, 165 yards a game with a touchdown and turnover, but counting on a Brown's receiver is like expecting consistent fantasy points from Calvin Johnson. Until Mangini loses his job start Hillis; especially now that we are entering the first weeks of bye-weeks.
